
Founder & Designer — SODA
SODA is a self-initiated product concept and platform exploring a new model for digital music distribution. The project began as a response to the growing complexity of streaming platforms and account-based ecosystems. I wanted to challenge the assumption that every digital experience requires a login, a profile, and a data trail.
SODA replaces traditional user accounts with unique, time-bound access codes. Each music release is distributed through a secure code that unlocks a dedicated download experience. The result is a direct, intentional interaction between artist and listener — simple, secure, and designed to feel exclusive rather than transactional.
The concept was shaped through my long-term creative collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. His pioneering approach to merging art, technology, and immersive experiences strongly influenced SODA’s direction. Together, we explored how digital distribution could feel more like an event — something deliberate and collectible — rather than just another link in an inbox.
From a product perspective, I designed and structured the entire platform:
- Defined the product vision and user experience principles
- Designed the complete UX and UI system
- Built the architecture around secure code validation and content access
- Created the visual identity and interaction language
- Ensured the download journey was intuitive, focused, and frictionless
Security and simplicity were core constraints. The system needed to protect content while avoiding the typical complexity of account-based platforms. This led to a minimal interface where the code itself becomes the key — removing barriers while maintaining control.
Sony Music later became an active partner and customer, using SODA as a way to explore alternative release strategies and more direct artist-to-fan engagement models. The collaboration validated the platform’s relevance within the broader music industry landscape.
SODA reflects my broader design philosophy:
To combine technology, culture, and thoughtful interaction design into meaningful digital products. It demonstrates my ability to move from concept to working platform — bridging strategy, UX, UI, and technical architecture — while collaborating with globally recognized creative partners.
At its core, SODA is not just a distribution tool. It is an experiment in digital ownership, simplicity, and experience design — reimagining how music can be shared in a more intentional and elegant way.
