Senapt — Energy as a Service Platform Design

Senapt delivers Energy as a Service (EaaS) solutions that help organizations monitor, optimize, and manage distributed energy assets through connected infrastructure, real-time data, and intelligent software. The platform supports complex operational environments where clarity, reliability, and performance are critical.

As Lead UI / Product Designer, I have played a central role in shaping both internal operator systems and customer-facing applications. My responsibility spans the full product lifecycle — from early discovery and concept definition through interaction design, visual systems, prototyping, and production handover.

My work sits at the intersection of energy infrastructure and enterprise software. I translate technically dense data streams — including live asset telemetry, consumption metrics, alerts, and performance diagnostics — into structured, intuitive interfaces that support operational decision-making. This requires balancing deep system complexity with clarity, hierarchy, and usability.

Platform Architecture & System Thinking

A significant part of my contribution has been strengthening the core platform experience. I refined information architecture across modules, clarified navigation structures, and redesigned onboarding flows to ensure that new users — from commercial teams to operational engineers — could confidently understand and use the system.

To support long-term scalability, I built a structured design system and component library aligned with engineering implementation standards. This system introduced consistent interaction patterns, reusable UI components, defined spacing and typography rules, and clear states for real-time data conditions such as alerts, warnings, and asset statuses.

This work improved cross-functional collaboration, reduced ambiguity in handover, and created a shared visual and interaction language across product teams.

Operational Dashboards & Energy Intelligence

I led the redesign of key energy intelligence dashboards used to monitor performance across solar, storage, and grid-connected assets. The focus was to:

  • Clarify visual hierarchy in data-dense environments
  • Improve real-time status visibility
  • Structure alerts and notifications more effectively
  • Support faster interpretation of performance deviations

Through careful layout structuring, typography refinement, color semantics, and progressive disclosure techniques, the dashboards evolved from dense reporting views into actionable operational tools. The goal was not simply to present data, but to support confident decisions in time-sensitive scenarios.

Research, Validation & Product Maturity

Beyond interface design, I introduced more structured research and validation practices. This included stakeholder workshops, workflow mapping sessions, usability testing, and collaborative iteration cycles with engineering and product leadership.

By grounding design decisions in operational realities — speaking directly with energy managers, analysts, and technical operators — I helped align product direction with real-world usage patterns. This created a stronger foundation for prioritization, iteration, and long-term product evolution.

Bridging Design, Engineering & Sustainability

At Senapt, I have worked in a highly technical domain involving energy systems, monitoring infrastructure, and enterprise workflows. My role has been to act as a bridge between complex engineering systems and human-centered design.

The outcome is software that makes energy insight tangible — transforming raw telemetry and operational data into interfaces that support smarter, more sustainable decision-making.

This work reflects my broader design philosophy:

clarity over decoration, systems over screens, and long-term scalability over short-term polish.
